A Chi Chi is a small sized hybrid dog originating from China. It was created by crossing the Chihuahua and the Chinese Crested dogs. This breed has been created only for companion purposes. It is a great family dog and its small size and friendly demeanor place it as a perfect family pet.

A Chi Chi is a dog combined from two Chinese types of breeds. This is a hybrid dog which was developed for designer purposes. The Chihuahua is a breed which came to China on Spanish ships. Its further origin is not as clear as it most likely descends back to the Americas and the Techichi dog of the Aztecs. The Chinese Crested was brought to China via Mexico. But its true origin is Africa.

Appearance, Colors, Size
A Chi Chi is a relatively small dog. They have actually been developed for this purpose and their size is what attracts most people. Grooming your Chi Chi is important and it will depend on the type of dog you have. If you have the one with long hair, then you will have to provide daily bruising to it. It will keep the dog clean and neat. If you have the one without hair, that you can brush the patches of hair that it does have once a week. But you still have to apply cream and sun lotion to its skin so it does not get sunburned.
