A Maltipoo is a designer dog and was breed for the purpose of being a companion dog. These dog do not have such a long history but their popularity has sky rocketed in recent times. The original idea came with they decided to cross breed a Maltese dog with a Poodle. The first generation of Maltipoos are all the result of this crossbreeding. Now there are dogs which have been born between two Maltipoo parents.

The idea was also to combine the attitude of a Maltese and the hypoallergenic properties of a Poodle. The restful is a bit mixed as not all the dogs have hypoallergenic fur as their parent breed has. This is the reason why the Maltipoo has yet to be recognized as a standalone breed. There are still some properties of them that are not standardized.

A Maltipoo is an alert, fun-loving and affectionate dog. They are very playful and joyful dogs. The thing that they like the most is to spend time with people and play around. A Matlipoo is a low shedding dog. But this does not mean that he does not require any grooming or regular maintenance. All in all, these dogs will need you to brush them frequently. Brushing will ensure that the dead hair is removed and that the coat is kept clean.

Even though a Maltipoo is not a pure bred breed, they are very popular and have a high cost to them. But the price can easily go up even to 2,000 dollars for some Maltipoo puppies.

Some people are under the opinion that this is a much better way of helping dogs, and by most accounts they are right.
